For Dermapen4™ treatment we use Dermaceuticals™ products that are specially formulated to work with Dermapen4™ Microneedling treatments and are developed with age defying rejuvenating and replenishing correctives. The procedure is minimally invasive, which means that there is virtually no downtime and the healing process is quick. Aftercare is also very simple and can be fully administered at home. Localised erythema may last up to 2 days post treatment. Makeup may be used 24 hours post procedure to reduce any visible redness. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after Dermapen4™ treatment. ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DERMAPEN4™ TREATMENT? Side effects experienced with Dermapen4™ will usually subside within 48 hours. They include erythema, stinging, itching and tightness of the skin. HOW LONG DOES DERMAPEN™ TREATMENT TAKE? A full face can be treated in 10 minutes, but we allow 50 minutes for the full treatment including the skin preparation and the post treatment mask. HOW MANY DERMAPEN™ TREATMENTS WILL I REQUIRE? Can be done as one off treatment, however we recommend 3-6 treatments for the best results. Generalised rejuvenation can be achieved in as little as 3 treatments. Conditions such as post acne scarring may require minimum 5 sessions. WHAT IS POST TREATMENT AFTERCARE? · Use recommended medical grade skincare daily. It will relieve the symptoms of redness, inflammation, swelling, tightness or flakiness. It will encourage repair process within tour skin and prevent from any further damage. · Daily use of medical grade SPF is non-negotiable post-microneedling procedure as your skin barrier will be more vulnerable to damage. · During recovery, the use of scrubs or active ingredients such as vitamin A or AHAs and perfumed products should be stopped for a minimum of 7 days. · Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after a Dermapen4™ treatment as the skin will be sensitive. · Avoid makeup for 24h. Any redness may be easily concealed with a mineral make-up during recovery. · It is recommended to avoid high-cardio workouts and any activities that may cause heat or sweat for a minimum of 48 hours post-treatment. · In case the skin develops a crust or a scab, you must not pick it as that may lead to scarring.
